Pakistan to Host Sri Lanka and England for ODI Tri-Series and Test Cricket This Autumn
A Busy Home Season Confirmed
The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that Pakistan will host Sri Lanka and England for a series of bilateral and tri-nation matches running from October 9 to November 21, 2026. The schedule covers three formats across multiple cities and represents one of the most substantial home programmes Pakistan has hosted in recent memory.
Sri Lanka Arrive First for T20Is
Sri Lanka will arrive in Islamabad on October 4 and feature in a three-match T20I series played in Rawalpindi from October 9 to 13. The T20I leg will serve as the opening chapter of what is set to be a lengthy and varied home campaign for the Pakistani side across all three formats of the game.
England Join for the ODI Tri-Series
Following the T20I series, England will arrive in Pakistan to take part in an ODI tri-series scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from October 18 to October 31. The three-team format brings together Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England for a competitive round-robin competition that will span both venues before concluding at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Venue Split Between Rawalpindi and Lahore
Rawalpindi will host three matches of the tri-series, while Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will stage the last four matches, including the final on October 31. The distribution of fixtures between the two cities ensures broader national coverage and gives cricket fans across different regions the opportunity to watch international cricket live.
Test Series to Follow as Part of WTC
At the conclusion of the tri-series, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will compete in a two-match Test series as part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27. The first Test will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from November 9 to 13, while the second Test will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from November 17 to 21. The inclusion of WTC points gives the Test leg additional competitive significance beyond a standard bilateral series.

Sri Lanka’s tour begins with the first T20I on October 9, followed by the second on October 11 and the third on October 13, all in Rawalpindi. The ODI tri-series opens on October 18 with Pakistan facing Sri Lanka, followed by Pakistan versus England on October 20, and Sri Lanka versus England on October 22, all in Rawalpindi. The action then shifts to Lahore, with Pakistan taking on England on October 25, Pakistan facing Sri Lanka on October 27, Sri Lanka meeting England on October 29, and the final being held on October 31. A three-day warm-up match is scheduled in Islamabad from November 4 to 6 before the first Test begins on November 9.
